Inspire Multi Academy Trust

Welcome

Welcome to Inspire Multi Academy Trust

We are a Multi Academy Trust based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, currently consisting of five primary academies. The majority of our academies serve communities with high levels of disadvantage and our focus is on improving outcomes for every child, regardless of their starting point.

Children are at the centre of all we do in Inspire, as practitioners we hold the opportunities for our children in our hands and that great responsibility is embedded within our vision and our practice. ‘Life-long learning for all’ underpins our way of working.

The Trust has a strong track record for supporting and improving schools which were in difficulty, resulting in the growth and development of a talented staff who are skilled at working in challenging circumstances to improve outcomes for pupils.  Good schools have been welcomed into our trust and together we have used their knowledge and talents to contribute to the growth and strengthening of our practice.

Our academies work collaboratively to support each other in all aspects of practice, from curriculum and assessment development and taking part in research-based development projects, to leading on their own identified projects.

Staff development is our passion, from Schools Direct students and Early Career teachers to Senior Leaders. Opportunities for staff arise throughout the MAT and we have several senior and middle leaders who began as student teachers on placement with us!

Inspire MAT provides Central Team services to enable our educators to focus on educating our children. Financial support, accounts regularity and budgetary setting is supported by our Chief Financial Officer and HR and Finance Manager.  Governance, business continuity, compliance and health and safety advice and support are provided by our Business Relationships and Governance Manager. This holistic offer is a significant support to our academies, never more so than during the pandemic.

My role as Chief Executive Headteacher, enables me to support and develop all aspects of the Trust from academy improvement to financial outcomes.  I have had significant experience in supporting schools in difficulty and improving outcomes for pupils and staff.

I am currently working to support schools in Durham under the DFE Trust and School Improvement Offer. The Lead Head teacher of the MAT supports and develops the academy Head teachers who all have the opportunity to lead on developments across the Trust.

We are always looking to improve and develop our offer.

If you are interested in joining our family of schools, please contact me.
